A small woods-camo container right near a highway rest stop. No toys inside. Purpose: a place to swap travel bugs!
Every other cache we've hidden has been cleverly placed, stocked with fun doodads, and in a beautiful spot. This one? Nope, nada, and nay!
This cache has been placed about 100' from a picnic area in a rest stop along NH Highway 9, one of the main east/west highways across New Hampshire. We figure many people drive by this location on their way across the state. The cache (a smallish woods-camoflage lock-top container) is placed out of site (to avoid muggles) but in an obvious spot. We intend this to be an easy find as travelers drive through.
Why no fun toys in this cache? Because the purpose of this cache is to be a TRAVEL BUG MOTEL, a temporary spot for people to drop off and pick up travel bugs. There should be enough room to hold up to 5-10 travel bugs at a time, although largish ones (with stuffed animals attached, for example) might take up most of the room. It is my hope that, since this cache is located along a main thoroughfare, people will use it to keep those bugs moving! We started the ball rolling by putting in 3 TBs of our own and 1 geocoin we picked up.
Please help keep Travel Bugs moving into and out of the NH-9 Travel Bug Motel!
