A sprinkling of evil near a convoluted trail.
I love this trail which twists, dives, and climbs to prevent pedestrians from mixing with cars on two busy ramps between Shoreline Blvd and Central Expressway. I rarely take this trail but when I do, I enjoy how I sometimes become a little directionally disoriented as the trail seems to go all over the place with the surrounding roads going everywhere else. If you need to cross Central Expressway in search of the many nearby caches on either side, this trail is useful to know about.
This micro cache is located near this trail but is at least 10 meters from any pavement, so PLEASE STAY OFF ANY ROADS IN THE AREA. You'll find this cache at or below the level of the nearest pavement, so focus your attention low, very low, even lower. Do not dig because digging cannot access it. Don't bother to sweep aside leaves or needles because it's not buried under those things. Don't disassemble any lamps, grates, sprinklers, meter boxes, or electrical boxes. You should be able to find this cache without disrupting the grounds, plants, or equipment that are in the area. Just lift the cache from its hiding place (that is the ONLY way you can get it).
The numerous trees in the area are likely to disrupt your GPS reception of satellite signals. I got the coordinates by approaching from various angles then confirmed the coordinates (as always) with GoogleEarth because I know that some new cachers use that tool before investing in a GPS unit.
WARNING: If you look at the wrong time (especially if you are caching in a dishonorable or disruptive way), you'll likely meet the nasty wrath of one or more of the nearby sprinkler demons who occasionally douse the whole area without warning. Don't say that you were not warned!
TIP: Bring a pen to sign the log. This micro cache is too small for pens and trade items though it is starting with a micro pencil).
ANOTHER TIP: Drive-by cachers can get easy access to this cache by parking at N37 23.911 W122 04.840. Within 10 meters of this location you'll see access to the trail through an opening (a gate) in a chain-linked fence. From that point on, you'll never need to walk on a motorway to access this cache.
