The National Monument and ASEAN Sculpture Gardens are near the centre of Kuala Lumpur along Jalan Parliamen.
The National Monument was built in 1966 as a commemoration to all the people that died in the communist problems and the second world war.. It is one of the largest free-standing bronze structures in the world and was designed by the Felix de Weldon from America. Everyday at 6pm the 'Last Post' is played.
Next to the Monument are the ASEAN Sculpture Gardens. A collection of very interesting sculptures by artists from all over the ASEAN region can be found here. The setting is a very relaxing park with food and souvenir stalls.
The cache is in a slightly quieter area of the park, but there may still be people around so care is needed. It is a plastic container. Please make sure it is concealed again after finding, as the park workers are very diligent here.
