Als Startpunkt bieten sich folgende Koordinaten an: N 47°
45.940' und E 013° 21.880'.
Natürlich gibt es auch zahlreiche andere (schweißtreibendere)
Wege auf diesen Berg. Wählt man jedoch den einfachsten Zugang, so
sollte man nach ungefähr einer halben Stunde bei N 47°
44.550' und E 013° 21.085', dem Gipfelkreuz (1521m),
stehen. Auf diesem sind groß zwei Jahreszahlen eingehauen. Die
Ziffernquersumme der zeitlich älteren nenne A, die der
jüngeren B.
Der Cache ist etwa 1200 Meter von hier dem Kammverlauf nach
Südwesten folgend bei N 47° 44.xxx' und E 013°
20.yyy' versteckt, wobei xxx = A * B - 468 und yyy =
A * B - 268.
Anstatt bequem zum Fuss des Berges zurückzukehren, bietet sich
nun die Möglichkeit einer netten Rundwanderung zum Ausgangspunkt
an. Vom Cacherversteck geht es weiter nach Süden zu einer
Weggabelung, bei der man sich nach Osten wendet und über Almen zur
Braunauer Hütte absteigt. Von hier geht es weiter zur Stübleralm
(1051m), einer sehr netten, im Sommer bewirtschafteten Hütte. Über
eine Forststrasse, die sich bald nach NO wendet, gelangt man nach
etwa einer halben Stunde zur Steingrabenalm (877m). Der weitere Weg
führt mit einem Gegenanstieg von etwa 250Hm über die Farchbachalm
zur Saustallalm, wo man auch einkehren kann. Von hier geht es dann,
teilweise über die Skipiste, zurück nach St. Gilgen.

the summit. In case you chose the easiest approach you should be at
the summit (1521m) at N 47° 44.550' and E 013°
21.085' after approx. half an hour. There are two year dates
hewn in the summit cross. Take the crossfoot of the earlier one as
A and the crossfoot of the later one as B.
The cache is hidden about 1200 metres
following the ridge southwestwards from here at N 47°
44.xxx' and E 013° 20.yyy', whereas xxx = A * B -
468 and yyy = A * B - 268.
Instead of taking the easy way back there
is the possibility to return to the starting point by a very nice
hike around the mountain. From the hiding place go south until you
come by a fork, where you turn east and descend via mountain
pastures to the Braunauer Huette. From here proceed to the
Stuebleralm (1051m), a very nice hut, which is open in summertime.
Following a forest road to the NE, you should approx. after half an
hour reach the Steingrabenalm (877m). After a short ascend of
approx. 250Hm and passing by Farchbachalm you will reach
Saustallalm, another possibilty to have some speck and schnaps.
From here the route leads, partly on ski slopes, back to St.
Gilgen.
