Geocache Description:

Cache is on private land is placed with permission.
50 cal ammo box on the side of the trail. Not in the wood pile.

There are currently only 5 disc golf courses in New Hampshire. 3 of them now have caches on the grounds. It’s a sport, like geocaching that was an infant a short while ago and is starting to catch on around the country.

I was asked to come check out this course and the beautiful farm its located on and to place some caches within it’s boundaries. I couldn’t resist. This was picturesque and an interesting experience learning about the game. I asked quite a bit of questions about disc golf and here is what I learned.

Not one, but several different discs are used during one game. Similar to using different clubs in golf for different situations. You have a flat, light disc for long drives. You have a thick, heavy disc for putts. There are disc that will curve right, or left, so you can shoot around trees. There are 18 holes or baskets and each is rated for the amount of shots it should take to get the disc there from the T off station, such as par 3 (3 shots). There are many different styles of shooting as well. Whether you underhand it, overhand it, sidewind it, tomahawk it or just toss it like we do at the beach, you are on your way to playing this new sport.

You will not see any pricker bushes during this cache, but you may see Pricklers, the local porcupine and mascot of the course.

CONGRATULATIONS TO SIEGI ON HER FTF !!!!
