Be the Genealogist is a series based on my other hobby. It's a hobby that I enjoy doing, so much so, that I decided to allow other geocachers to get a taste of it. Although these caches are all puzzles, none are meant to be extremely difficult.
In addition, I decided that since I like hiking, I'd create some long ones. All the hikes in this series will require at least a half mile hike (as the crow flies), each way, to and from the cache.
This is one of six of the initial caches, that will lead to the final cache, for a total of seven caches. In order to get the final cache, there's a question related to the series finale on the inside cover of each container. Bring something to write on and with, to record the question, or take a picture of it. Answer all 6 questions, and you'll know where the final is.
The coordinates aren't where the cache is, rather it's in the middle of the Occoquan Reservoir. The cache is located in the eastern side of Fountainhead park.
Graves and Cemeteries provide genealogists with lots of information about ancestors. Generally they provide birth, death, and sometimes family connections, like marriage. In addition, they usually help determine the locations where individuals lived
In this puzzle, your job is to identify where these famous people were laid to rest. There are online databases which can help you find them. Once you do that, link them up to the location, and take the number associated with that location to fill out the coordinates
