Seerosen-Idylle - waterlily's idyll
Habt ihr euch schon mal die Geschichte vom ersten Geocache der Welt angeschaut? Am 2.5.2000 wurde das weltweite GPS-System für die zivile Nutzung frei gegeben. Schon am 3.5.2000 versteckte der Amerikaner David Ulmer eine Dose. Über das Internet verbreitete er die Koordinaten, wo diese Dose versteckt war: N45°17.460 und W122°24.800.
Er schuf die Regel: Nehmt etwas heraus, legt etwas herein. Innerhalb von drei Tagen hatten zwei verschiedene Internet-Leser mit ihren eigenen GPS-Geräten unabhängig voneinander die Dose gefunden. Dieser Cache existiert noch heute: GC92. Moment mal, werdet ihr nun sagen: GC92? Nicht GC1? Der Code für den ersten Cache ist GCF (Geo Cache First). Aber der originale Cache wurde – wie könnte es anders sein? – gemuggelt. An seiner Stelle ist heute eine Plakette angebracht, die eine Pilgerstätte des Geocachens darstellt. Seht euch die Zahl der Logs und Bilder doch selber an: GCGV0P.
Nun, der Cacher der das Muggeln als erster wahrnahm, nahm die Reste des Caches und schuf damit – in nur kurzer Entfernung den „Un-Original Stache“. Er hatte genauer gesagt nur zwei Teile des originalen Caches: die Reste des Deckels der Dose und einen Tauschgegenstand. Der Tauschgegenstand war auch eine Dose: eine Dose gebackene Bohnen ...
Ist diese Dose Bohnen etwa verloren? Nein! Könnte sie diejenige sein, welche das Profil des Cacher-Teams Baked_Beans aus Lippe ziert??? Sucht doch einfach mal danach! Nehmt etwas heraus, legt etwas herein ...
Wir bedanken uns bei allen, die bei der Recherche geholfen haben: ponyryder und makaio, den Ownern des „Un-Original Stash“, die auch diesem Cache seinen Namen gegeben haben, team360, die die Owner der Plakette sind und David Ulmer, den wir im Netz aufspürten und der uns freundlicher Weise antwortete.

PS: Der Inhalt der Dose ist 2004 abgelaufen, kommt also nicht mal auf den Gedanken ...
Have you ever read the story about the world's first geocache?
On May 2, 2000, civilians were given access to the worldwide GPS system. On May 3, 2000 already the American David Ulmer placed a first container. He published its coordinates via the internet: N45°17.460 and W122°24.800. The rules for the finder were simple: "Take some stuff, leave some stuff." Within three days, two different readers read about his stash on the Internet, used their own GPS receivers to find the container, and shared their experiences online. This cache still exists: GC92. Just a minute, you might object: GC92? Not GC1? GCF is the code for the Geo Cache First. But the original stash was muggled. There is a plaque on its place nowadays. It has become a place of pilgramage for geocachers. Just look at the number of logs and photos: GCGV0P. Well, the cacher who recognized the cache had been muggled took the debris of it and placed a new cache at the place, in a short distance from the original place. He called that cache the "Un-Original Stash". Actually, he had only two parts of debris: a little plastic of the container and a can of beans. Was this can of beans lost? No! Could it be the one which can be seen in the German geocacher's profile, a team called "Baked_Beans"??? Just look for it. Take some stuff, leave some stuff ...
