'R' for Rock (Otago) Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Zero Gravitas: As there's been no cache to find for some time, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

Tide plays a big part in this one! Easy if you get the tide time right, you will get wet if not. Small plastic 400ml cache with room for swaps etc. Visible at no distance.

Once you fire up the GPS and see where it leads you there may be many thoughts......however one will be that it is pretty obvious where this cache may be sited! It is feasible, just be cautious because if you slip you will hurt yourself as the rocks are sharp. Once you are there just look to where you would put a cache, the big tree is obvious but not the choice on this occasion! Look below it and you may hit the jackpot!

This is the next letter in the Hexy Alphabet Trail. This has been set up for any one to participate in but is especially created with the Dunedin Cachers in mind for some caching fun over winter, as from start to finish it will take several months to complete. Visitors and non collectors are welcome to visit and log and swap at any of these caches but i would respectfully ask that if you are not completing the whole alphabet that you do not take a letter as they are in short supply!
