wemedge: Based on the last two logs, I took a walk in this afternoon to check on the cache. Shortly after the kiosk, I met a photographer on his way out; he was so confused by the destruction of the area that he couldn’t even recall how to get to the falls and was giving up! Needless to say, extensive clear-cutting has not only rendered this part of the forest a wasteland and literally stripped it of its dignity, it also took away one of my favorite hides.
I originally placed this troublesome little container as a bit of a tribute after the death of the cacher who inspired me (Cloak Trend is an anagram of LandRocket), and in the style of one of his notorious evil hides. It certainly challenged lots of people and had a good 15 year run, with only 56 finds and 49 recorded DNFs. Can’t ask for much more than that!
