Mill Micro 25 - Hammerwood Traditional Geocache
Flatcoat Walker: Not sure if this one is still there or not, but think it is time to archive it anyway. It does not get many visitors and I need to concentrate my maintenance efforts on my caching trails, as these are a lot more popular than my odd single caches.

I thought it would be fun to see how many new cache sites I could find near to Mills in my local area. These will include Watermills and Windmills, some still in use, some now used for other purposes. Most mills are sited in nice surroundings, so I hope you will enjoy visiting them. I will be adding new caches to this series over the next few months.
All the micros are hidden right on public footpaths. None of them will be very close to private houses. Some of them are near public highways, but many are along private roadways, with only footpath access. Please park considerately, and do not drive along any private roads to access the caches.
There are no sign of any mill buildings left here now, but there is still a lovely secluded mill pond. There is room to park by Hammerwood Church on the A264. There is a bridleway to the cache from 100 yards east of here. Be careful on this very busy road! There is no bridleway sign at this end of the track, but it is a driveway to a house, with 4 short concrete signs by it. Two of these say SV on them. Alternatively you could park in the little lane that goes past the northern end of the bridleway. There is space for a car about 50 yards to the west of the bridleway.
