Denne cache er gemt i Blokhus Klitplantage, et 642 hektar fredet område, der oprindeligt blev etableret som en plantage syd for Blokhus.
Der er adskillige smukke og interessante stier i området. Man kan parkere nord, øst, eller syd for plantagen. I alle tilfælde er der 1 -2 km til cachen, og det er nemt at udvide turen og nyde den smukke natur.
For et par hundrede år siden var der et meget alvorligt problem med sandflugt i området, blandt andet på grund af skovhugst. I det 19. og begyndelsen af det 20. århundrede begyndte man en storslået sandflugtsbekæmpelse, og denne plantage er et af resultaterne, der øjensynlig var en ubetinget succes. Der er strenge regler for bygninger i området, med hensyn til størrelse og tagmateriale. Læg mærke til de mange græsklædte tage, der blander sig naturligt ind i landskabet.

This cache is located in Blokhus Klitplantage, a 642 hectares (about 1500 acres) of conservation area originally established as a plantation south of the village of Blokhus.
There are several beautiful and interesting path through the area. You can park: North, east or south to the cache. In any case, it is an easy 1 - 2 kilometre walk which you can extend to a longer ore to take in more of the beauty of the land.
A couple of hundred years ago there was a severe problem of drifting sand, due to over-harvesting of the indigenous forest. During the 19th and early 20th Century, a major effort was mounted to establish plantations to prevent further destruction of established land. That was largely successful, and Blokhus Klitplantage is an example of this. Surrounding the area, strict building codes prescribe smallish houses with grass-covered roofs, blending well with the existing landscape.
