Geocache Description:

Saturday 22nd September, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

South East Meet-n-Greet extends an invitation to all geocachers & friends to meet at the Nerre Nerre Warren Picnic Area, Dandenong Police Paddocks so they can catch up with fellow cachers, swap tall stories and enjoy a BBQ lunch.

The Nerre Nerre Warren Picnic Area is situated at the end of Brady Road which runs off Stud Road and very near to the Monash Freeway.

The area has a children’s playground, free BBQs, toilets, sheltered eating area, an area to kick a footy and quite a few caches within walking distance.

The road into the park has two chicanes (to slow down speeders) so if you are arriving in an articulated vehicle you may have a little trouble although I am told you can get through with a rigid vehicle.

The park has gates which are opened at 10:00am and close to vehicles at 4:00pm.

Mr Coffee is hoping to put out a new cache in the area in time for the event and any other local cachers who wish to do the same are most welcome.

We will supply stickers and a texta for your names, you can supply the rest.

Stroller accessible, picnic tables available, toilets, kid friendly, wheelchair accessible, parking available.

Dogs allowed on a lead. No motorbikes, no horse riding. The area around here is an important refuge for many native plants and animals that were once common in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges and the eastern part of the Port Phillip Region.

Therefore we would ask that all participants please keep their forays into the bush to a minimum so we can preserve the area.
