A cache to test your searching skills. The cache is not at the above co-ords.
Curriculum –
• Locating logical hiding spots.
• Systematically searching a large area.
In finding caches GPS co-ords will get you close, after which skill and intuition in spotting and searching likely hiding places are essential. This cache is intended to test searching skills by have a slightly larger than normal search area. The above co-ords are on a track which ends at S45 52.425 E170 31.638. The cache (a 1L snaplock container) is within 3m of this track beyond the published co-ords but not after the “Search Area End” waypoint given below.
There is a ready to place film canister micro complete with log sheet, pencil and pencil sharpener as FTF prize. If you would put some plastic bags in the cache or do some CITO in the cache area it would be much appreciated.
This cache is part of our “Cache Mastery” course series consisting of challenging caches relating to different aspects of Geocaching. Each of these caches contains a 5 character code in the log book – make sure to write this down along with the name of the cache you got it from – you will need this information to unlock the final practical exam. Also, to ensure your mastery of finding caches, no additional hints will be given in this series.
