South shore road, park: N 41 17.264 W 122 21.819,(A big thanks to MtnMike) or watch over your righ shoulder for a road with a green gate,(way back), parking next to it. wonderful walk to the lake, find the lake side trail, This part of the trail was first cut by Troop 97, along with me and my sons and of course the help of the mount shasta trail assn, Make this an evening trip if you can, enjoy the sunset, and the geese flying in from all over to roost for the night.

I and my sons will always treasure this part of the trail. Thanks To the Mount Shasta Trail Assn, they are doing a wonderful job developing the trail the entire circumfence of the lake. A newly built bridge, and construction of one crossing the sac will make this a popular spot for all.
