Oh! How my heart longs for a Lamp Post Cache an LPC!
An exquisite thing of joy and beauty, of grace and charm, of wonder and imagination!
Let this next find NOT be on some high mountain top vista!
How I wretch with the thoughts of yet another scenic expanse of horizon to horizon view.
I cringe at the thought of having to endure the smell of fresh air over glades of green.
I long for asphalt, the smell of tar on a summer day!
Oh! That my eyes would water from the burning fumes from the soccer mom's SUV!
Wait what do I see? There! Such elegance nestled on the faded yellow lines of yonder parking lot space. It beckons!
Could it be, might it be?
My fingers tremble as they lightly, gingerly caress the warm housing baked in the sun.
I lift. AH! There is that teeth shattering squeal of metal on metal. Luscious nails on a chalkboard!
I look under the precious and clever hiding spot. Shiny jewel like roaches scurry this way and that. A familiar welcome that always thrills me.
My fingers probe the underside, encrusted with rust and dusted with cobwebs like gossamer drapery.
I find it! Just where I knew it would be. Where I have found it so many times before. Hundreds of times before.
There is comfort in the expected, the mundane. I know I am home, a home I have explored in my dreams again and again and again.
I smile knowing that around the world, right now, at this very minute, hundreds of thousands of other LPC’s wait to be found.
"Imagination is overrated" I think as I drive to park at my next LPC of joy somewhere out there!
The Cache:
Well this cache is NOT a LPC, but its cousin, the GRC – The Guard Rail Cache, and is a tribute to Foxtail, who hails from Sonny, Sandy-aigo California. It was placed to fulfill the requirements of SpringVille - 3 -- Baby Machine #1
