Take a stroll in the park (open from sunrise to sunset), enjoy the
flowers, observe the statues and archaeological remnants, or have a
cup of tea on the Bosphorus and find a geocache!
As you stroll into the gazebo area of the cache location, you
will observe couples here and there romantically engaged. Most
likely they’ll be too absorbed with each other to notice you
looking for a geocache. But woe to your search should the lovers be
at the cache location itself. Perhaps you could have a seat across
from them, pull out a book, and try to wait them out? If luck is
with you and you happen upon the cache area when it is empty,
retrieval and replacement of the cache will be fairly quick and
easy, but bear in mind that the cache is velcroed onto its hiding
spot, so please retrieve and replace with care or the velcro may
detach.
This is a log-only microcache, so remember to BRING YOUR OWN
PEN OR PENCIL.
At certain times of the year, this park may be busy, so stealth
will be required for retrieval and replacement. This cache was
placed with a Garmin eTrex and due to cloud and tree cover had an
accuracy of 31'/9m.
After a stroll, nearby there's Topkapi Palace, the
archaeological museum, the Hagghia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the
Sunken Cistern, and the Hippodrome to visit, so be sure to have a
wander and explore the sights!
