Geocache Description:

This will be a seperate event following the "Intro To Geocaching" event held at the C.C.F.D. in Copperas Cove (see waypoint GC 15VP1)

What is "Geoherding" you may ask, well, it is a not so technical term regarding geocaching in groups of more then one. A typical group ranges in size from 2 to 2000 however most groups number 3-5 in size. A Geoherd is a group of cachers who seek a cache together. Sometimes a person who prefers to cache alone might be referred to as a "Lone Wolf Cacher" Regardless of your preferred caching style, remember, we all cache for fun!!!

This will be a simple caching event to get together and share caching stories, trade travel bugs/coins, and a chance for some of our "seasoned" cachers ie "covies" to get to know our new caching friends. We are having a second cache event so that those of you who prefer not to learn about caching again can attend and we can catch up on caching adventures while helping those with a few less smileys :) catch up.

Ogletree Gap will be our destination for this event although we will not have use of the pavillion this time. That means bring plenty of water, snacks, and anything else you would usually bring to survive a "primitive enviroment". Depending on whether you plan to "cache the gap" or not you should dress accordingly. We will meet under the pavillion cover at 10:30 A.M. to start the festivities and then you may come & go as you please until 1:00pm when we meet again to sign the official attendence log & share/trade any coins or travel bugs you wish. This is a "brown bag" event so please bring your own eats and/or drinks but whatever you do, please join us for some 'ole fashioned Geo fun!
