How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

Don't do this cache. It has no beautiful views, it isn't a nice hike, and it's not the least bit challenging. In fact it's just a lame micro. So don't even do it. This is only put out for obsessed cachers who need a cache fix. We know that's not you, right?
You might go Geocaching, but you have it under control, right? You do not need to find this cache, do you? It is only one more cache, and since you are not counting, you do not need to look for it. You’re not addicted, are you?

Maybe you DO have a problem with Geocaching. Only you can tell for sure. Taking the following quiz may help to put your relationship with Geocaching into perspective. If you answer “yes” to three or more of the questions, you may want to take a good look at how your life is affected by Geocaching.
If you wonder whether you need to do this cache answer the following questions:
1. Do you go to the Geocaching web site more than once a day?
2. Do you prevaricate about how much you geocache?
3. Have you ever skipped work to go geocaching?
4. Have you ever thought about naming your next child Garmin?
5. Do you "mark" your car when you go to the mall?
6. Do you plan your vacations around towns with lots of caches?
7. Do you set your alarm for 5 am so you can see if there are any new caches, so you can try for a FTF before you go to work?
8. Have you ever gone out for a FTF at 11:00 p.m.?
9. Do you refuse to replace your 35 mm camera with a new digital camera because you need the film containers for micro hides?
10. Do you constantly check Geocaching.com to ensure that your 10-mile radius is still clear?
11. Are you thinking, "I'm wasting too much time reading this foolish sheet. I have to go find this cache before someone else does.”

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you might want to drop everything you're doing and head out for this cache, but be forewarned. You shouldn't go. It's only one more number. It is not even original but has been blatantly copied from other cache sheets. You CAN stay away. You are NOT obsessed. Repeat after me, "I DON'T HAVE TO DO THIS CACHE. IT IS ONLY ONE MORE NUMBER. IT'S NOT IMPORTANT."
If you find this cache you must log a 30-word essay on why you are, or are not addicted to caching. No essays and your log will be consigned to
