Kunsten at hvile sig
I 1812 får Skagen sin egen distriktskirurg, før det hentede man
læge i Fladstrand/Frederikshavn og medicin i Hjørring.
Apoteket kom til byen i 1904 og i 1916 blev Skagen Sygehus
grundlagt.
1. januar lukkede Skagen Sygehus.
Ved det gamle Skagen sygehus, udenfor Skagen Gigt- og Rygcenter
står der en skulptur der heder "Hvile".

The art of resting
In 1812 Skagen gets its own district-surgeon. Before that, you
fetched a doctor in Fladstrand/Frederikshavn and medication in
Hjørring.
The pharmacy arrived in 1904 and in 1916 Skagen Hospital was
build.
The first of January, Skagen Hospital was shut down.
By the old Skagen hospital, outside "Skagen Gigt- og Rygcenter",
there is a sculpture by the name "Hvile" ("Rest" in
English)
