Alt for upåagtet ligger der omkring tre km nord for Aalestrup en herlig lille vesthimmerlandsk perle - nemlig komplekset Testrup Hospital, Testrup Kloster og Testrup kirke. På dette fine sted går kirkearkitektur, gravhøj, middelalderhistorie/-ruiner, hellig kilde, et par dejlige skovsøer og såmænd også økologisk landbrug op i en sjælden højere enhed.

I stedet for at skrive en længere beretning henviser vi til den udmærkede brochure ”Sporet ved Testrupgaard”, som du finder her :

Cachen finder du undervejs ad den afmærkede rute, som du bør unde dig selv at følge og nyde. Turen kan gøres lang eller kort - der er ”afstigningsmuligheder” undervejs. Især vil vi gerne anbefale idyllen ved Kirkedammen, som er en yndig lille lavvandet skovsø.

Around three km north of the city of Aalestrup you’ll find a wonderful attraction - only known to few: The medieval monastery and church complex Testrup. Not only medieval history is represented here - you’ll also find a holy spring, nice woods with lakes, and the whole area is farmed ecologically and with great care. Follow the yellow signs - and find the cache along the route.
