Well, bully for you!
When you think about a mom & pop shop, you tend to think about something that's been in the family for generations. Most, that have survived, have outgrown their former selves and become much larger than the day they started. Certainly very few still operate in same building and use the same piece of equipment they did the day they opened...
Not true of the place you will visit at the coordinates, which opened it's doors in 1880. It has been performing the same service for 127 years and was placed on the National Registry of Historic Places on July AC, DJJH. You walk in and it's like stepping back a century in time.
The original device which was used to mechanically power the equipment was replaced in 1917 and the operation was converted to electricity shortly after. You can see an imprint of what this place used to look like powered by that original device on a piece of letterhead (in a display box opposite the counter) which came out of box #FHE.
My how times change. Consider the current price for the smallest size of product they make. It's $E.8B, that's only 44 cents less than what they paid for a whole lot of Soda on June 6th (way back then).
Take some time to look at all of the historic artifacts in the display case. You will see many implements from that bygone era, like an adding machine with the number (I+1)N°,IGJ.W°, a sample ledger with some expenditures from that era, a few interesting maps and other antique things from the trade. If the owner is around, he'll let you take a peak at the machines as well and that really makes the trip worthwhile!
You will have to visit this place (8-5 M-F and some morning hours on Saturday beginning in October) to do your historical research and solve the puzzle.
