Geocache Description:

Rich in views and history, this little cache will take you to some rarely visited sites.

Our friends who live at Otakawhe Bay showed us this interesting spot. Its easy enough to find the path and turnoff to the cache, but mind the kids near the steep drop-offs.

There are great views, and an old Maori Pa site to explore. Passage Rock sits out in the bay watching over boaties, and the area is part of a Marine Reserve.

Pearl Bay is a real pearl of a place. If you have the time, continue on the main track and have a look around.

Plenty of picnic and swimming opportunities here.

Please replace the cache carefully and avoid damaging vegetation.
