This site offers a fabulous view of the Shinano valley, lake Suwa, the Southern and Northern Alps, and on a clear day even Mount Fuji. Although it is accessible by car, I would recommend hiking up the Takabochi. It is well worth it! ;-)

The cache is a plastic tupperware container, hidden under a little tree. It is bit away from the peak point, so there should be less muggles (hopefully).

April 29 by bun34 (499 found) DNF... It climbed Takabocchi today (With the car). I am after the excursion of the elementary school to come here. To our regret, cache was not found though looked for noting surroundings. Please confirm it when you can confirm cache. Scenery was the same as old times and wonderful. Let's enjoy caching! TFTC!! ＝＝＝Ｊａｐａｎｅｓｅ＝＝＝ 天気が悪くなりそうでしたし疲れてもいたので、車で近くまで行こうと計画しましたが、南の方から向かったら途中で行き止まりでした。 仕方ないので傘を杖代わりにして歩いて登りましたが、ハイキングコースとは思えない急勾配の道でした。 頂上が見え出した頃、一気に霧が流れてきて一面真っ白に。 まあ、もともと展望はあきらめていたのでガッカリはしませんでしたが、ところが頂上に着いた時には霧も晴れて、諏訪湖や近くの山々もよく見えました。 とても素晴らしいところでした。 キャッシュはすぐに見つかりました。 説明書は濡れて文字が滲んでいましたが、ログノートなどは問題なしでした。 OUT : trackable digitalfish  IN : バッジ [view this log]
