Local, or just passing though
This cache at Chalco Hills Recreational Area is in town enough
to make it easily accessible for local Omaha residents, and close
enough to I-80 to be visited by those just passing though. Chalco
Hills features a pretty lake and rolling prairie grass covered
hills with groves of trees. Picnic areas with latrine toilets,
playground equipment, and water spigots make this a fun place to
bring the family.
Easy to find
It may be too easy to find. The terrain is easy to navigate, and
the hike is short. If it does end up being too easy, I may consider
moving it to a more challenging location in the future. Please let
me know what you think.
Cache container and contents

This was my first cache placed, so I think I tried to stuff too
much into it. :)
Lots of nature
If you get a chance, check out some of the nature trails in the
area (near N41:10.340, W096:09.695). In my short amount of time
there, I saw a perched hawk, owl pellet with rodent skull inside,
and lots of deer prints and droppings. There's also a great native
grass display created by Eagle Scouts along the nature trail.
Chalco Hills is a fun and clean park. Enjoy your visit.
