Geocache Description:

D.W. Field Park has truly been a place of recreation and enjoyment for the bustling city for over 80 years. Now listed on the National Registry of Historic Places, the 756 acre park was originally donated by Daniel Waldo Field in 1925. The park, which was designed in part with the assistance of Frederick Law Olmsted, is basically a series of several man-made waterways surrounded by forests of birch, pine, maple and oak. There are over seven miles of quiet paths and roads winding through the lush vegetation.

I placed this cache on the Avon side of the park. When I was a kid, this is where we went to feed the ducks. There are 100's some times 1000's of them all year round. The cache is about 250 feet from the parking area. There is are small trail to follow to the cache but, it is light bushwacking with all the new spring growth. Watch out for "TICs"
It is a 6" 8" 4 way-locking container. Remember to bring some old bread for the kids to feed the ducks. Enjoy your day and the hunt. Joe

" Congratulation to Macfriends for your third FTF of my mine today. " Good work!!!
