Have you ever gone out to snag a cache only to be Stumped? Well if you haven't, this may be the cache hunt for you, but only if you're up to the challenge!
Rhymes with free
This time it's not the hike that's challenging (easy 20 minute walk) it's the hunt that may wear you down. Since the trail and cache are both in the shade, this is a good hunt for those hot summer days. Recommended is the marked trail that runs along the creek. The last 70' to the cache is off trail but there are NO foxtails and very little poison oak. You should also be aware that when I set my coordinates at the cache site, I was only able to lock onto five birds due to the tree cover and surrounding terrain.

It will not be necessary to bring any special equipment or to climb, dig, or even swim to find this cache. There is also no need to tear apart any stumps or decaying logs since the cache has been placed in plain view.

If you can't find this cache, don't despair, I purposely placed it in a park that has numerous caches, so do your homework and come prepared.

Have fun, be safe and tread lightly!

Oh, by the way, if you're up for another challenge, but with a different twist, check out the sequel Stumped again?

The camouflaged container is about 8" x 6", so you will have to BRING SMALL ITEMS! The contents are:

  • Log book
  • A real wooden pen
  • Joker Bendo toy (might be a good traveler if he ever gets out)
  • Pizza slice (you'll need this for nourishment)
  • Spotlight (to help you see after it gets dark)
  • Cell phone (to call your friend, spouse or significant other to let them know that you'll be late for dinner)
  • Astrology handbook (to see what day's are best suited for you to go geocaching)
  • Rabbit's foot (to bring you luck in finding other caches)
  • Emergency blanket (to keep you warm if you end up spending the night)
  • AA batteries (your GPS may need them after this hunt)
  • A gold medal for the first person to find the cache
Note: There is no Geosite letter since it is unlikely that a non-Geocacher would bump into this cache.

Started geocaching today and this was our second find. Took about 1hr and 20 min but we hung in there. Having seen only one other cache I don't have much to compare to, but that was totally cool. I have to agree with another poster, maybe it was the trees, but the actual location was not where the coordinates led us and we came at it from three different directions. TNLNSL. Thanks for a great and clever hide.

This is one of the best camo's I've seen. I got lucky because there was something lying on the ground that tipped me off. I made sure it was replaced when after I signed the cache. My hat's off to you for a well designed and placed cache.
