Geocache Description:

A cache requiring you to do some walking and tricky climbing.

The cache (a film canister hidden about 2.5m above ground level) is located along a nice, yet rough, little track coming up from Fraser’s gully. You can either approach it from the top, which is closer, but the top of the track may be difficult to find, or you can approach from Fraser’s gully, but you’ll have a longer walk and you’ll have to make sure to pick the right track, which shouldn’t be too hard.

You will have to climb a few awkward meters up a gum tree to get to the cache, you should probably bring a friend to help get you up and down, and it’s definitely not a good idea to attempt at night (although I’m sure some will ignore this warning, yes we’re talking about you, Eli and Nofs!) The cache is in the end of a large broken limb on east side of tree within 30cm of the bottom nail and is hidden in a little groove.

This cache is part of our “Cache Mastery” course series consisting of challenging caches relating to different aspects of Geocaching. Each of these caches contains a 5 character code in the log book – make sure to write this down along with the name of the cache you got it from – you will need this information to unlock the final practical exam. Also, to ensure your mastery of finding caches, no additional hints will be given in this series.
