Geocache Description:

You may have heard of Goblin Valley, but have you heard of Ghoul Gulch? I first noticed this place in Google Earth, and even from the aerial photos it was clear that the Entrada Sandstone had eroded into goblin-like shapes similar to Goblin Valley. Ghoul Gulch is much smaller than Goblin Valley, but it's so much closer to home for me, and it's well worth the trip.

Park at Hamburger Rocks (GCTMJX) and begin your hike there. The cache can only be reached on foot, but the hike is only about ¾-mile one way over a moderate slope. If you run into a steep hill near the cache that you don't feel comfortable hiking down, it can easily be walked around if you travel a few hundred feet northeast.

This place, combined with Hamburger Rocks, easily makes my top three favorite places on the planet. Both places are great for children (and adults!), and the unusual sandstone formations are picturesque and fun.
