Since no one has found my "Which Bend?" cache in over a month, it
made me think that it was just too far from Pierre. So, here is
another more challenging cache. Like the other, if you want to
drive right to the cache and walk 50 feet from your car, don't
bother trying this one. It is located on Farm Island. But, unlike
the others already on the island the trails will not take you to
it. There may be some trails that will get you close, but not too
close. The only trails that I could find that were nearby were
those made by the local deer. To place it I paddled 2.4 miles by
kayak. If you find it, send me an e-mail to tell me how you got
there.
You are looking for a pill bottle with just enough room for a
log sheet and short pencil. But, since they sometimes disappear, it
might be a good idea to bring your own writing utensil.
Good luck.

June 13, 2009 by dbrockhouse (2222 found) This was a target cache for the day. Had to get this one checked off before the walleye spearfishing searson starts on Monday - after that will have to stopped looking for caches.Wife and I did the big kiyak trip down the lake and made the find. No wind and 80 degrees today - just beautiful. Took a minute at GZ to find the container - pretty well hidden. SL

August 8, 2008 by Britt98 (4023 found) Geoboss and I set out for this one after finding Which Bend? and returning to the campground for lunch. This one seemed like more work, as we were tired from the earlier ride on the river. we were able to find a spot about 20 feet from the cache to park the kyak. The cache was found after a search of the area and we were off. Great place for a cache. SL. TFTC!

August 8, 2008 by Geoboss (5348 found) This cache was located just over two miles from our campsite. After finding Which Bend?, we (Britt98 and I) had lunch then headed for this cache before the others arrived for the weekend. I've been watching this cache in hopes of logging the find for some time now. The day was finally here. We put the kyay in at the beach in the East campground and paddled accross Hipple Lake, then followed the island to the cache. We docked about 20ft from the cache. After arriving at GZ and noticing it was a MICRO, I was hoping we would find it after paddling all the way there. Luckily the cache was found quickly and we headed back to the campground. I also placed two NEW caches on the way back. This was another GREAT cache. Thanks for replacing it, even though I didn't know it was gone. SL. TFTC!!!After kyaking about 9 miles today, my back was very sore on Saturday night and Sunday.

August 7, 2008 by DRAGN tamers (1101 found) Looks like the original container disappeared. I went out to where it should be and couldn't find it either. So, there is a new container where it used to be. Who knows soemone else might come along and find 2 of them. The new one is another pill bottle with just a log, no pencil. If you go looking for this one, please obey all posted signs. When a sign says NO VEHICLES, that means NO vehicles and you should find a different place to park. Ultimately you will start, by canoe or kayak, from the Farm Island boat ramp and go the 2 miles to the cache.

July 30, 2008 by Dakota Jim (288 found) Great day for a 5 mile kayak trip - we took the scenic route. And great nature watching: saw some 30 pelicans take off, two blue herons and two deer peeking through the reeds at the edge of the water. Though the water was high, as the dam was discharging a lot of water, the landing spot was acceptable. The walk through the grass and thistle was uneventful even though I was wearing shorts. Thistle was not a real problem. But did not find the cache, though the GPS said I was only 5 feet away. Will be watching other logs for this cache and come back this fall on a cooler day.
