Ein Drive-In am Industriemuseum Ziegelei Lage - A drive-in at the industry museum brickyard Lage

Das Logbuch ist jetzt in einem kleinen, verschliessbaren Plastikbeutel in der Dose. Bitte darauf achten, dass der Plastikbeutel richtig verschlossen ist, wenn ihr die Dose zurücklegt, danke.

Unser dritter Cache soll euch ein zu einem Museum führen, daß wohl viele wahrscheinlich überhaupt nicht kennen und dementsprechend noch nie besucht haben: Die alte Ziegelei bei Lage, Ortsteil Hagen.
Dieses Museum gehört dem Landschaftsverband Westfalen-Lippe (LWL) und ist Teil des Westfälischen Industriemuseums (WIM), das an insgesamt acht Standorten in NRW alte Industrieanlagen als Museum erhalten hat.

Die Ziegelei ist ebenfalls Bestandteil der "European Route of Industrial Heritage" (ERIH), siehe hier: (visit link)

Ganz kurz zur Geschichte der Ziegelei:
Sie war von 1909 bis 1979 aktiv, dann war die Lehmgrube, die den Betrieb mit Material versorgte, erschöpft und die Produktion musste eingestellt werden. Der LWL übernahm dann 1982 den gesamten Betrieb inklusive Maschinenausstattung und Firmenarchiv und nach umfangreichen Restaurierungsarbeiten wurde das Museum eröffnet. Alles weitere und auch aktuelle Termine und Veranstaltungen erfahrt ihr auf der oben genannten Webseite.
Es gibt übrigens auch ein gemütliches kleines Cafe im Museumsgebäude, daß man besuchen kann, ohne das Museum zu betreten (und Eintritt zu bezahlen). Wenn also mal wieder ein langweiliger Sonntagnachmittag ansteht - besucht doch mal das Museum, gönnt euch im Cafe eine Tasse Kaffee oder Tee, und sucht (und findet) den Cache.
Die Ziegelei ist auch per Bus ab dem Bahnhof Lage gut zu erreichen (Linie 748), oder mit dem Fahrrad, ein Radweg führt direkt am Gelände vorbei.

Achtung: Seid beim Suchen, Bergen und Zurücklegen des Cachebehälters *sehr* vorsichtig und bemüht euch, nicht aufzufallen, die Gefahr von einem Muggel gesehen oder bemerkt zu werden ist (zumindest während der Öffnungszeiten) sehr groß. Bitte legt den Behälter an genau die Stelle zurück, wo ihr ihn gefunden habt!
Das Museumsgelände muß nicht betreten werden.

Our third cache will lead you to a museum that most of you neither know nor visited. The old brickyard near to the city of Lage, in the district Hagen.
This museum belongs to the "Landschaftsverband Westfalen-Lippe" (LWL), which kept old industry plants in North Rhine-Westphalia at eight places as museums.

A short note about the history of the brickyard:
It was working from 1909 to 1979, then the clay mine that supplied the material was exhausted and the production had to be stopped. In 1982 the LWL took over the brickyard with all the machinery and even the company´s archive, and after extensive restoring the museum was opened. More details and also actual dates and events can be found on the website mentioned above.
By the way, there is a nice little cafe in the museum, which can be visited without entering the museum (and paying for entry). So, if you find yourself sitting around on a boring sunday afternoon - why not visit the museum, have a tea or coffee there and search (and find) the cache?!
The brickyard can also easyly be reached from the train station in Lage by bus (Line 748) or by bicycle, a bicycle lane is directly in front of the area.

Beware: Be *very* careful when searching, recovering and putting back the the cache container and try not to be noticeable, as there are nearly always muggles around (at least when the museum is opened) who will keep an eye on you. Please put back the cache at exactly the place where you found it!
The museum´s area must not be entered.
