Montgomery Remembers Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Sask_girl & Novy: Unfortunately we're archiving this one. It is still there! Unfortunately the tiny little shrub we hid it beside all those years ago is now a mammoth 6 foot tall bush & has trapped the cache inside its roots! At first we thought it was missing but as we dug around we discovered our birch bark cammo so we kept digging down through the layers & layers of mulch. Sure enough there was the cache tightly wrapped in the roots of the bush! We tried extracting it but we don't want to disturb the bush. If they ever take those shrubs out we'll try to retrieve it then. We debated putting a new cache here but after a lengthy debate sadly decided not to.

Geocache Description:

The above coordinates are false!!

Montgomery Place was established with small land holdings under the federal government's 'Veteran's Land Act' for men and women returning from World War II and the Korean War. The streets of Montgomery Place all have names that come from World War II. The names are either of certain veterans or battles or places etc. The Montgomery Place Community Association fundraised to have special signs made explaining the history & significance of each street name. The signs were made by a local Montgomery Place resident and have been placed with permission on the street bearing the name on the sign. To find the correct coordinates for the final cache location you must locate the signs in Montgomery and look for the pertinent information. You may want to drive to save time but Montgomery is a beautiful neighbourhood to walk in. You do not need to enter anyone's yard. All signs are highly visible from public property.
