A pleasant walk along the river on a beautiful trail.
This cache is perfect for families with young children. It was hidden by one of my five year old grandchildren. A delight for all ages, from five to ninety-five; the wide trail permits sweethearts to walk hand in hand most of the way.
Look for the beech tree that started as two trees and merged into one. Grammy calls it the wedding tree.
Although it takes less than fifteen minutes to get to the cache, you will want to linger longer. A pool in the stream, just before you get to ground zero is a delightful spot to soak your feet in warm weather. Have the children wear swim-shoes for a summer splash as the stream bottom is a bit pebbly.
***Do not park at the trail head unless you have handicap license plates.
*** Park at the town lot across from the New Boston Fire Station and walk up Mill Street to the trail head.

Thanks are due to "Grampa Cardigan" as the original hider of this classic cache. The solid-rock-seekers adopted the cache in 2022 to maintain it for future generations of cachers to enjoy. The original container was still serviceable, and only needed a new log book, some additional trade items, and a bit of freshening up.
Two sets of trailheads and parking waypoints are now provided. The original set on Mill Street is as Grampa Cardigan described. The additional set is at the New Boston Public Library, which moved to its current location as of 2010 (so that option didn't exist when the cache was originally hidden in 2007).
