My late father (deliguy) placed this cache, I am keeping up the maintenance on it.
I have uploaded coordinates for the new parking area.
Easy on/off from highway near Newport Bridge entrance. Pleasant walk along a trail through the sanctuary. No bushwhacking necessary. Don't forget bug spray. Bird watchers may want binoculars and a camera.
There are a number of fine bird viewing areas on Conanicut Island owing to the large amount of relatively undeveloped land offering diverse habitats. The island has areas of rocky shores, sandy shores, woods, grassland, marsh and tidal flats. You will be exploring one of these sites on your way to the TB Hotel.
If you explore a close side trail, you will come to a platform that is super for bird watching.
I believe this area deserves to have an active TB Hotel and there are no TB Hotels on the island. Please don't take all of the travelers without leaving some.
