Karen´s House

Did you see the fantastic movie Out of Africa? Meryl Streep as Karen Blixen and Robert Redford as Dennis Finch Hatton.

Karen Blixen was a famous danish writer.
She lived in Kenya from 1914 for 2 decades. Most of the time at Karen's House which was a coffee farm. Her house is now owned by the Kenyan State and is changed into a museum.

[Very nice to be at at this historical place. We have seen the movie and read the book. After some searching the guard came up to point out the location] nobir gur ebbg gbjneqf gur cnexvat [. We gave him ksc 200 to keep on watching.

The cache urgently needs maintenance. We dryed it but we think someone should bring a new container and a pencil.

In: TB Swedish Elk (please don't keep it, let it travel around in Africa)

Quiet at Karen's House this afternoon. Didn't get much of a chance to look for the cache, as the guard came over as soon as I got near and insisted he show me. At least he is keeping a good eye on it. The cache was pretty wet, so quite hard to sign the log. Picked up the TBs and will put some good mileage on them in the next week. This cache was a great reason for me to take a couple of hours our of a busy week and visit a very pleasant part of Nairobi. TFTC

Just a quick cache before we flew back, found it without help from the guard, but tipped him anyway as there aren't many caches that have a guard to keep them safe, left 2 TB's to continue their travels onwards.

Please modify the description, as the cache is not near the roots (anymore?) it's more towards the crown of the fallen tree. My guess is that the security man who showed us the place (and whom we gave a tip of course) put it there.... If you adapt the description (coordinates are still close enough), then someone may find it without additional help...
