Where; D=G=(C-H), A=(B/2)=F, C=A, E=(B-J), J=(A*2), H=I- (minus)
the number of children flag is dedicated to, and I= the last digit
of the year the gardens were sold.
I have driven by this spot a million times and have always wanted
to take a closer look and this great little windmill. Until
recently, that was never possible. Now, however, it is since these
Peony gardens have been listed on the National register of Historic
Places.
Take some time to read the history of this unique place and read up
on the Gardens while you are here. It is a great little tribute to
the Sisson family and those that followed, including the Rosendale
Historical Society whose efforts to preserve what was left of the
original gardens and the dilapidated windmill created this nice
side attraction for the thousands who drive through this town on
the way to somewhere.
I have added Libbyjones as co-author since she has close ties to
the Sisson family memorialized here. In fact, her Great Uncle built
the windmill when he first started working for the Sissons.
