dl1nux: Vielen Dank an den Itzgrounder für die Info. Da bin ich ja froh dass ich die geplante Wartung noch nicht durchgeführt habe. Schade dass der Cache auf diese Weise von uns geht. Ein Stück Coburger Geschichte geht mit dem Abbau des Bahndamms ja ebenfalls zu Ende.

Itzgrund - Kaltenbrunn

Kaltenbrunn ist Sitz von Coburgs südlichster Gemeinde "Itzgrund" und auch für sein ausgezeichnetes italienisches Restaurant bekannt, welches sich auf dem ehemaligen Bahnhofsgelände nur wenige Meter von der Bundesstraße 4 entfernt befindet.

Der Name "La Stazione" (dt. "der Bahnhof") erinnert noch an den alten Bahnhof der Bahnstrecke Breitengüßbach–Dietersdorf. Von der Bahnstrecke ist noch ein Teil des alten Bahndamms inklusive einiger Brückenpfeiler erhalten. Dort befindet sich auch dieser Cache. Bitte wieder gut tarnen! Mehr Informationen zur ehemaligen Bahnstrecke findet ihr in der Wikipedia.

Itzgrund - Kaltenbrunn

Kaltenbrunn is the administrative centre of the most southern commune in the county of Coburg and is well known by his italian restaurant "La Stazione", named after the old train station in Kaltenbrunn. Many years ago there has been a railroad from Breitengüßbach to Seßlach-Dietersdorf. Today you can only see the rests of the railroad embankment. There you will find this geocache. Please camouflage it again well!. You can find more information about the old railway in german at the Wikipedia.
