This cache is on a little traveled section of the Crystal Springs Trail...A decent walk from the suggested parking @ N37 26.948 W122 16.658 ...The trailhead is through the poles then left past Shady Gate/Wicked Grove(GC1DCWX). Plan B would be to continue to drive to within 300' and park in a No Parking area for a quick dash to the cache and back. Not recommended as a couple of the locals have proved to be quite rude to the general public.
On his way to the Celestial City from the City of Destruction, Christian passed through
the Wicket Gate...of the Pilgrim's Progress fame...everytime I see an old gate in the forest I recall the old tale of Christian and his travels....and his wicket gate. "Just ask, and I will admit you entrance"....This particular gate is pau. It was taken down this past summer by the powers that be who repaired the adjacent fence of metal poles and barbed wire. The decades old fence that was attached to the "wicket gate" was spared however, so I decided to place a cache here. You are looking for a 35mm film canister that contains the log and a special pin for the FTF....the pin that I took from another cache where I was the FTF....Perhaps we can continue to pass this pin along to other FTF cachers.
