You should park off of Prospect Street at the first gate. The trail starts at the second gate just up the road. Walk across the field to the Paine Mountain Trail trailhead. The PMT is well marked (kind of) and should take you most of the way there. Just after the trail starts to head down take the small sidetrail to the top. The sidetrail is not well-marked and is about a 300 meter buskwack through small trees.
It should not be too difficult in the daylight, but I know there are a few sickies out there who are going to do this one at night. Be prepared for a long hike hence the higher than normal terrain rating. The trailhead states 2.5 miles (one way), but my GPSr read close to 3.5 miles (one way). I wasn't paying attention and hiked to the wrong stupid hilltop...DOH!! I still can not believe I put the cache on the wrong mountaintop. Be prepared for a few more caches in the area, so don't be too quick for that First to Find unless you like to hike!
From the SE corner, head 25 meters on a heading of 118 degrees and you will find the cache. It might be a little tricky in the winter months.
