loande: I think it is time to archive this one. It has served the community well as an easy park and grab in this area! Maybe a new cache will take its place here!

Geocache Description:

Cache was placed as part of the 50 States GeoCache Series.

Yes, it is a “lame guard rail cache,” but I hope it will be worth it to find.

Roberta was my Mom. She died in 2004 from cancer. If we had known about geocaching before, I know that she would have loved caching with me. She was born and raised in the Denver area of Colorado moving to the east coast when she got married. She went back as often as she could, the last time was about 10 months before she died for her 50th High School Reunion. And, I was lucky enough to go with her.

Colorado is a beautiful state. Its terrain varies from majestic mountains, to vast prairies to unrelenting desert. I bet that finishing a Delorme Challenge there would be quite an adventure (GCWXFK-only 4 smilies since 7/1/2006). I hope someday to return and cache there.

This cache is placed at place I spent a lot of time with my Mom. We went to a water walking class here 2x a week for about 4 years before she got sick. This place reminds me of her, which reminds me of Colorado.

The log is in the film cannister, it is not a trade item.
