Geocache Description:

A fast cache at the old Railway Station in Närpes.
En snabb cache vid den järnvägsstationen i Närpes.

Närpes station

The Railway station in Närpes was designed by Thure Hellström and contained three rooms and kitchen for the stationinspector, and one II-class waiting room, and one III-class waiting room. The railway between Seinäjoki and Kaskö opened August 1 in 1913 and was in use for passenger traffic until May 26 1968. All kind of goods was sent through the station until June 1 1988, when the station was closed down after almost 75 year.

But the station is painted and fixed and can be rented for meetings, weddings and so on.

The cache may not be found if there is much snow.

Järnvägsstationen i Närpes var ritad av Thure Hellström och innehåll tre rum och kök för stationsinspektören, och ett II-klass och ett III-klass väntsal. Järnvägen mellan Seinäjoki och Kaskö öppnades 1 augusti 1913 och var i bruk för passagerartrafik till 26 maj 1968. Godstrafiken vid stationen upphörde den 1 juni 1988, då stationen stängdes ner efter nästan 75 år.

En lokal förening har renoverat stationen och kan hyras för möten, bröllop och dylika tillfällen.

Kan hända att cachen inte hittas om det är mycket snö.

Närpiön rautatieasema oli käytössä 1913 - 1988. Matkustajanliikenne lopetettiin 1968 mutta sen jälkeen oli vielä tavarakuljetukset aseman kautta vielä voimassa 1988 asti, kun asema suljettiin.

Mutta asema on maalattu ja korjattu ja vuokrataan kokouksiin, häihin ja vastaavia tilaisuuksia.
