Invasion of the Gingerbread People Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

ChcknLdy: Well, This is one of my saddest experiences in geocaching. I hid this cache in 2007. Then a cell tower went up along the trail and the company put up a gate with no trespassing sign. The land is actually Concord Parks & Trails. So I contacted the company and told them about geocaching so would they leave the gate but not make it no trespassing. I told them geocachers are good at Cache In Trash Out, known as CITO. They agreed. All was well until this pandemic and transients moved in, left a horrid mess and I don't blame anyone for not wanting to clean it up with Covid these days!!! I used bags over my hands and filled 3 grocery bags and 2 larger trash bags. I sure did use lots of Purell and changed & showered when I got home!!! These little GB people had a good invasion and thanks to all who visited and enjoyed my cache[:)]

Geocache Description:

Beyond my Tiny Turtles Twirling Tops GC15C41, I discovered the dirt road leads to a Cell Tower AND a conservation land PLUS PATHS[:D] As of July 2008, Cell Tower access gate is locked. Owners are concerned about liability as well as dumping. Hikers are welcome. Park at end of Locke Rd & hike short distance in. May be wetlands in the spring floods. Path is elevated above the little tributary creeks that empty into the Merrimack. Stay on the path. The Gingerbread People invaded nearby[:)]

These little Gingerbread People are cousins to the Village Gingerbread Folks GCZMDV They came over to invade this more remote and yet easy access preservation on the east side of the Merrimack River at the end of Locke Rd from Exit 16 of I-93. They passed the Poultry Plaza GC15C4F & Tiny Turtles caches ... who knew this land was here So close to the city, yet when we were on the path it felt like we had gone far away from civilization to nature's serenity. Lots of little chickadees flittering about and signs of deer & beavers. A great place for my favorite little folks to welcome the Cookie Crumbles Crowd and then all to follow
