Geocache Description:

This is a cache for cache sake for those stupid enough to have accepted the UBD Challenge. (If you don't know what that is, check it out here: GCY98X - Victoria Country Road Atlas Challenge )
LIKE ME (Trunksnsuch).

The rating will increase to a difficulty of 5 when there are people about or during the annual Easter Tarra Festival.

This cache brings you to the old Yarram Train Station which provided a very vital link, and was very well used for the 66yrs it was open. Such a big deal was made about the final closure in 1987, and almost everyone in Yarram must've turned out to see 'the last train' depart! The main station building was removed after the line was closed, and only the goods shed remained.

Later on the building was used as a community run venue to give the local youths a place to hangout, it was known as The Station. That dwindled out and soon after it was taken on as a venue for the 'Station School' - a branch of the local Secondary College that provided a more 'hands-on' approach to schooling for kids who have struggled with mainstream curriculum.
