Denna cachingutflykt tar Dig till en bunker som under det kalla krigets dagar var avsedd att i händelse av krig inrymma en ledningscentral för civil räddningstjänst; främst sjukvård, brandkår och röjning. Bunkern var även avsedd att inkvartera delar av kommunens ledande befattningshavare och blev därför inredd för måltider och vila. Idag är bunkern utrymd, låst och enligt uppgift sannolikt i dåligt skick. Anläggningen är i färd att växa in bland snåren och metalldelar som syns ovan jord börjar så sakteliga gå i rostens tecken. Ungefär 100 meter väster om bunkern ligger lämningarna efter St. Jörgens hospital, dit leprapatienter sökte bot under meddeltiden. Lepra (även kallad spetälska) yttrar sig bl.a. genom svullnader samt känselbortfall och förlamning. Förr var sjukdomen obotlig, men idag är den en relativt enkel match att bota. För alla hypokondriskt lagda, kan jag dessutom berätta att sjukdomen idag är ovanlig i västvärlden. Alldeles söder om de medeltida lämningarna finns sedan 1950-talet ett monument som rests till St. Jörgens ära.
This caching trip will take You to a huge bunker that during the days of The Cold War was intended to, in case of war, house the civil defense organization headquarters. The bunker was also intended to make room for the municipal key personnel and thus the building complex was also furnished for meals and rest. Today the subterranean space is abandoned, locked and probably in bad condition. The bunker is going to almost disappear amongst the bushes and visible metal parts are getting rusty. About 100 meters west from the bunker You can visit the remains of the hospital of St Jörgen where leprosy patients went for cure during the medieval age. The symptoms of leprosy vary, but the disease primarily affect the skin and nerves. In former times the disease was considered incurable, but nowadays it´s quite an easy task to cure. For all of you suffering from hypochondria, I can especially tell that leprosy is rather uncommon in the western world today. South of the ancient remains You will find a monument that was raised in honour of St. Jörgen in the 1950ies.
