UPDATE: 7/4/08 -It's good to see this cache is still in good shape; I have been at college and unable to maintain it. However, by popular demand for the last seven years, I have FINALLY changed the co-ordinates to ones suggested by a user. Hopefully this will work better, and I will be able to return to maintain the cache this winter. In addition: Crystal passed away about three years ago. Thank you all for keeping her memory alive by finding this cache in her honor! - DZM
CRYSTAL'S GEOCACHE: This cache is NEARLY SEVEN YEARS OLD, and is still being found often!
Crystal was a golden retriever who lived in the Bellvue Road area. A picture of her is in her cache, which was placed on Monday, August 20, 2001. You can park across from the trailhead. Please DO NOT swim in the lake, it is a public reservoir. A wide trail goes for about a half-mile, then splits into a wide trail and a short trail off to the right. The cache is around there. Originally inside the cache was a few school supplies, a keychain deck of cards, and some rubber-banded packs of Disney and other cards(if you take these, please only take one pack of cards.) There MAY also a disposable camera, though not lately. If there is, Crystal would much like if you took ONE picture of yourself with it. Take the kids, the dog, your bikes - the cache is easy to find. However, tree cover can make the GPS VERY errant - an added challenge that gives the cache its added .5 on difficulty. A warning - mosquitoes are fierce in the morning and evening.
One last thing - please replace the leaves and branches on the cache as you found them. Enjoy the view of beautiful Haggets Pond as you hunt for Crystal's Geocache.
