Geocache Description:

In the Faerie Glen Nature Reserve. Beside a pretty little copse along a footpath with a stream to cross.

The reserve is guarded and hours are 6h00-18h00. Dogs are only allowed in lower part.
Fees are R5 for adults and R2 for kids
There are five caches in the Faerie Glen Nature Reserve. (Names are clickable) Also see the map-link below...
  1. Plumbago_One by Cabey
  2. PretoriaEast001 by Pedro - one of Pretoria's oldest caches
  3. PrideRock by AE Rodney
  4. Plumbago_Two by Cabey
  5. Plumbago_Three by Cabey
We suggest you take a morning or an afternoon and enjoy all five caches. We suggest the sequence shown above.

Wear good walking shoes and a sunhat. Put on your sunscreen and bring some juice and snacks in your rucksack.

The Reserve is a real treasure that needs to be preserved. Please use paths at all times. PretoriaEast001 has a very faint path, but it is there. For the Plumbago caches we have provided good hints and spoilers to prevent the trampling of the environment.

Info for this cache: There is a small stream to cross between the entrance and the cache, but there is a spot on the path to do so carefully.

The cache is beside a little copse and is right next to the path. Please keep big and small feet on the path, even when you retrieve the cache, squashing the undergrowth will betray the cache location. Enjoy the hunt!
