Magnetized micro at the Postal Tree in Mosselbay Bring own pen.

History:

The postal tree in Mosselbay was used back in 1488 to leave messages to ships passing by the bay, while taking on fresh water and supplies. The message was originally left inside a shoe, which hung from a tree. The original tree is still standing at the location, and is believed to be about 500 years old.
Today the postbox is still serviced by the post office, and if you mail a letter in the box underneath the tree, they will use a special stamp on your letter, stating that it was mailed at the tree.

There is a cover charge of R10 per adult and R3 per child to enter the premises.

The Cache:
The published co-ordinates will take you to an old cast-iron muzzle loading ships cannon. The cache is NOT located on this cannon, but is located on an identical cannon located underneath the big postal tree, about 8m away. There is no accurate GPS reception underneath the tree.

Small note on cache maintenance: Cache maintenance will be handled by my dad who lives only about a dozen km. from the site.
