In October 2007 a new attraction at the Hilmteich in Graz became a reality: "Kletterpark Graz - Hilmteich"
The park offers four different parcours at various heights on an area of approximately 8000 square meters. To find this cache it's not necessary to enter the park or perform any climbing actions. The park itself is closed in winter, but was very well visited in the previous months.
Next to the climbing park there is another new installation: "Menschenrechtsweg" ("Human Rights path")
The path was also opened in October 2007 and shows articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights along the way. The basic idea behind this installation is that these rights are basically dead if they aren't regulary being dealt with and lived. Most of this path was sponsored by Mag. Max Aufischer with the prize money of the Styrian Human Rights price 2005. |
Now, the cache..
EN/Stage 1:
You are now close to the "Hilmteich". Find the climbing park, then solve the following questions:
Between two trees you will find several vertical long sticks - I guess about 2.5m to 3m in length - on a few ropes.
How many ropes hold the sticks in place? =A
How many sticks are there? =B
Interesting use for some buckets! How many are at this stage, each on a single (currently dark) rope? =C
Between two trees you will find several rectangular wooden boards held in place on three ropes that are rather close together. A few small boards are mounted on all three ropes while the other longer boards are mounted on two ropes, either on the right or left side when using this attraction.
How many small boards are on all three ropes? =D
If you consider that the small boards divide the attraction into sections (of longer boards) - how many sections are there? =E
How many longer boards (each mounted to two of the three ropes) are there in total? =F
At another "corner" of the park you'll find an A-shaped power pole with lamp and a sign. Which article (number) of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights do you find there? =G
Wieviele Pfosten gibt es? =B
