There are many birds in the woods, but we often don't see them. You will go looking for them.
We love to search for birds in the woods. There are scolding Chickadees, drumming Woodpeckers, hooting Owls, upside down Nuthatches and foraging Mourning Doves to name a few. This relatively easy bushwhack will take you through a beautiful Hemlock forest in search of these birds. We think the forest is most beautiful in the winter. The birds are still there, but they might be a little harder to find. Parking is the same as for GC189WW near either of the gates. Please don't block the road. BYOP.
