THE TEDDY BEARS PICNIC
This is a series of six caches, hidden in Glovers Wood, near the village of Charlwood. There are five traditional caches which are named after well known bears. These are RUPERT BEAR, PADDINGTON BEAR, YOGI BEAR, SOOTY BEAR and POOH BEAR. There is also a bonus multi-cache called THE TEDDY BEARS PICNIC.
Before you can find where the Teddy Bears had their Picnic, you will have to find where the other Bears are hiding in the wood. They are very shy, but they are all hiding very close to the Woodland Walk or the Public Footpaths. Each bear has a bonus clue number written on the inside of his log book cover. The GPS is not very good in the woods, so I have given very good additional hints to help you. It is very muddy in parts of the wood in the winter, so you will need your boots.
There is room to park in Glovers Road, to the east of the wood. Where the road ends, the footpath to the wood starts. Walk straight past the aeroplanes, between the cottages, and follow the footpath to the wood.
There is also Mill Micro 18 – Lowfield Heath Windmill (GC13HQ8) hidden in this wood, so you could do this on your way around, if you have not already done it.
