The way leads you round Modica’s famous airport. Don’t be afraid
of noise, Boing 747 and Airbus A380 plains don’t often go there,
even in summer! We don’t leave paved roads. Most of the way is on
minor roads; just about 100 yards are on a regional road.
This cache is about trees, so be familiar with Mediterranean
trees! Look at the list below. However not all of them are trees,
some of them may hardly be seen. I’m sure you’ll understand the
joke if you love biology. I use Latin names, but the important ones
may be well understood and may get easily translated into several
languages. Maybe you want to use Google to get the information.
How to go to this Cache: Marina di Modica is about 13
miles south of Modica and 23 miles south of Ragusa on
the seaside. If you drive along the coast and pass Marina di Modica
you’ll see a sign pointing to "oasi dei re" north of the
village. Follow these signs. The parking coordinates are somewhat
behind "oasi dei re".
